Clarita Maria's work centers on identity, bravery and emotional exploration, it is about self-identification and exploration, delving into critical moments of her/ the life of others and eradicating fear by making photography a safe space.
With her mosaic heritage, she works to reveal her complexity in her photography, as a means to express the manifold uniformity that complexity is for most people in the world today. Identity and being seen simply as one is, or is not, is interwoven into her work. Her abstract work often includes solitary figures and objects, magnifying her journey of exploration and soul searching. Ambitiously she began her photography journey at age 12. At a young age, she worked as an assistant for Alfred Steffen. She completed her first photography lessons in Namibia with the likes of photographer Siggi Straube, and in addition to high school, interned for Christian Goltz text: Twaambo Kapilikisha ←
